ABOUT THE TAP SCENE
The Tap Scene is a Performing Arts school located on the Northern Beaches of Sydney in Freshwater. We offer classes in Tap, Musical Theatre, Acting and Jazz, that cater for children from kindy to teens, beginners to advanced. Students showcase their talents in an annual concert where every child gets their moment to shine on stage. Adult classes are also held in Tap.
At The Tap Scene, students are selected to be part of Performance groups in Tap and Musical Theatre and represent the school at eisteddfods across Sydney.
Whether you are looking for your child to learn new skills, meet new friends, build confidence, compete or start their journey to the bright lights of “Broadway”, The Tap Scene is where they should be.
Paige Rodgers BDA. Principal and Teacher- Tap, Musical Theatre and Acting.
Paige has been performing since she was three, across many disciplines within the Performing Arts. Her passion and love for the Performing Arts has also led to her becoming a teacher, with nearly 25 years teaching experience at various schools across Sydney including ED5 International, Brent Street and Keane Kids.
Paige now puts all her experience, passion and energy into her own Performing Arts School, The Tap Scene, with a focus on Tap, Musical Theatre, Acting and Jazz.
Paige is a Qualified dance Teacher with BDA (British Dance Association - Tap and Ballet), and has been trained in Jazz, Funk, Acting for stage and screen, and Singing. She is committed to teaching her students, not only the skills required to Dance, Sing and Act, but also how to perform. Her experience in performing on stage and on camera, makes her classes relevant and fun. Whilst Paige is committed to working hard on all aspects of her teaching, and expects the same from her students, the students enjoy coming to class and then showcasing their new skills at the end of year concert, or at the various eisteddfods that selected students compete in.
Paige is thrilled to bring her high quality of teaching and passion for the Performing Arts to the Northern Beaches of Sydney.

"My Daughter has come from a strict ballet background but was desperate to change to Jazz,
so I was looking for a Dance School that would be particular about the true technique of Jazz dancing. The Tap Scene has been perfect! The warm and welcoming atmosphere at The Tap Scene with Paige knowing every child so well is a real plus. Paige seems to really know how to make the kids have a great time but also get great results at the same time.
Thank you so much Paige and The Tap Scene, we are so glad we found you.“
